BT Aquatics (USAS Team)
We are a USA Swimming Competitive Team. Four practice groups, Monday through Friday, at the Brownell Talbot Theisen Pool.

Younger groups
All new swimmers interested in joining the team must schedule a group testing session prior to registration. Group Testing Dates: Thursday, August 28th & Friday, August 29th. Time: 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM. If your athlete has previously been on the team, you can go ahead and register them. If you have any questions before registering, please feel free to reach out to Associate Head Coach Jeff Nelson (Jeff.Nelson@Brownell.edu). Practice Schedule: offered Monday through Friday, 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM. Fall Season Duration: September 2nd – November 28th. Fees: $415.00 for the Fall season plus the $150.00 Annual Club Membership fee (covers caps, coaches' travel, and meet expenses). Thank you for being a part of Raider Nation!

Cost: $475.00 + $150.00 Annual Club Membership Fee (this fee covers caps, coaches’ travel, and coaches’ meet expenses). Note for 10 & Under Athletes & New 11–12 Athletes: to participate in this group, athletes must achieve 4 Midwestern Swimming Championship Time Standards in three 50-yard events and one 100 or 200-yard event or higher, and receive an invitation from the coaches. Senior groups
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday TBA. Dates: September 2nd – November 29th. Cost: $475.00 + $150.00 Annual Club Membership Fee (this fee covers caps, coaches’ travel, and coaches’ meet expenses). Notes: High School Season begins on Monday, November 17, 2025. High School Athletes once high school season begins on Monday, November 18, will compete with their High School Teams any 6th thru 8th graders maybe moved to the 4:00 pm group practice or be permitted to practice with the HS Team by Coaches invite.
When: Monday through Friday, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM, September 2nd – November 29th. Cost: $415.00 + a $150.00 Annual Club Membership fee (this fee helps cover caps, coaches’ travel, and meet expenses). Every Raider is a USA Swimming member
All athletes must be current USA Swimming members. New members must register for USA Swimming by September 1, 2025, for Brownell Talbot Aquatics. Returning members must renew their USA Swimming membership by Wednesday, December 3, 2025. (Silver Group: current members ensure your USA Swimming registration is renewed by Wednesday, December 3, 2024.)
Important Note: All athletes are required to participate in all home meets and the end-of-season championship meets. Failure to participate may result in removal from the team to make room for other athletes eager to compete for Brownell Talbot Aquatics.
Swim meets
Does my swimmer have to participate in swim meets? Swimmers are prepared and are expected to compete in all HOME Meets once the coach feels that your athlete is ready. AWAY Meets: we STRONGLY encourage each swimmer to participate in away meets, however, it is not mandatory. End of Season Championship Meets: all swimmers will compete at the highest-level championship meet that they qualify for.
Please note: We are a small team with limited training space with only 6 lanes. If we observe that your athlete is not participating in swim meets, you may be requested not to return the following season to make room for athletes who will compete for the Raiders.
